Brand Ambassador

Job Type: Part-time, 10-19 hours per week

Do you enjoy talking and engaging with people? We are seeking a part-time Brand Ambassador to join the Ooma Tesoro’s team to perform in-store sampling demonstrations, to engage with customers, and create brand awareness.

This position requires driving to stores in Southern New England setting up demonstration table, warming and serving samples of our product in-store, providing information and marketing materials to consumers. It requires an ability to communicate information about our product and our business, be able to answer common questions that consumers may have about our product, how it is made, and how it is differentiated in the marketplace. It requires generally an extrovert personality with great communication skills and a magnetic personality that can attract people to sample our product in-store and then engage those consumers in a dialog that distinguishes and differentiates our product from the rest of the market. This requires smart storytelling skills and an ability to read the listener to determine just the right about of conversation to fit the interaction.

This position could be a foot in the door to taking on additional responsibilities within the business.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for providing customers with a memorable sampling experience to support brand promotions and increase sales

  • Communicate and organize schedule accordingly

  • Review or attend training for upcoming product demo

  • Receive and keep branded demo materials clean and neat

  • Commute, and transport materials, to retail event locations, as scheduled

  • Set up a small sampling station (table, waste bin, branded materials, product, and other provided items)

  • Educate and engage with customers and employees to promote the brand and product

  • Provide samples to customers and employees at food and beverage events, in grocery retail setting

  • Take requested photos

Qualifications

  • Are comfortable interacting with customers in an enthusiastic and outgoing manner

  • Are reliably available for 10+ hours of work weekly (including some weekend hours)

  • Can independently sanitize, set up and break down event space

  • Able to lift up to 20lbs comfortably

  • Can stand for 4 hours while distributing samples in-store

  • Able to use your smartphone or tablet to record work after each shift

  • Are comfortable working independently

  • Commute, and transport materials, to retail event locations, as scheduled

Compensation
