Distribution & Merchandiser

Type: Full-time, 30-40 hours per week
Location: North Adams, MA and New England

Ooma Tesoro’s is seeking a hard-working person with an attitude of professionalism, coach-ability, flexibility, and self-improvement, as well as a willingness to learn and take on new challenges to join our distribution and merchandising team. This is a key position in which you will initially work closely with the CEO, in the center of the logistics part of our business. If you like being surrounded by the things that make a business hum, this might be the right role for you.

The candidate will work with our Specialty Retailers. They will develop relationships with store managers/personnel to achieve performance objectives at assigned stores within a geographic territory. The ideal candidate is a highly self-motivated and creative Distributor/Merchandiser who will effectively represent our brand and ensure that our product is merchandised to the highest retail standards. Candidates must understand that communication and relationship building are the key foundations to our success.

Responsibilities

  • Distribution of our product to stores throughout the Northeast (Boston, Providence, Hartford).

  • We seek someone who has great interpersonal skills to represent our business and product and be capable of establishing and building relationships with interactions with grocery store teams.

  • Service the stores shelves, check-in on stores, improve merchandising placement and positioning, and seek out new promotional opportunities for our product in stores.

  • Plan delivery routes efficiently in terms of time and mileage, considering the potential to create new routes around their territory that may be even more efficient, all while considering and balancing the goal of timely delivery of our product.

  • Work closely with the Production Manager in planning, selection, and pick-up and transporting of ingredients and materials from vendors throughout New England to our production facility in North Adams, MA.

  • Must have a valid and clean driver's license and be able to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time (including early morning departures)

  • Capable of meeting the physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, repetitive motion and lifting 40-50 pounds

  • Must have functioning smartphone

Compensation

Compensation commensurate with abilities and experience.
